About the Artist, MR★VHS

Hey, my name is MR★VHS (he/him), and I am the creator of my two cartoon series,

★TheJungleBrunch89 (TJB89) (2019)
★COMEDY★CRASH! (C★C!). (2014)

★I am a professional old-school retro 3D artist/musician who loves to create early CGI inspired animations and models reminiscent of the 1980s-1990s on an older version of the blender software. I am fascinated with the haunted, yet beautiful forgotten past of early VHS computer animations, niche music genres of Future Funk, City pop, and Vaporwave music, and I like flashy, shiny, and metallic objects of retro cars, fluffy dices, pool tables, palm trees, the night life, California Los Angeles, and pop culture.

★If I could go back in the 1980s, I'd do so in a heartbeat, as I crave to live in simpler analog times, so I satisfy that craving by creating fictional worlds inside my head and onto blender projects I work on. So, you could say I see the past through rose-tinted glasses, lol. I have a bad habit of Maladaptive Daydreaming.

★Music, Synesthesia, and the forgotten analog powers my imagination when I create projects. I can listen to any song I like and translate it to characters and colors I "hear". All my characters are colors and inspired by songs.

★My Biggest inspirations for my work would be Michael Jackson, Mac Tonight, Toshiki Kadomatsu, Future Funk Music, Synesthesia, DJ Pogo (Only his music), The Mind's Eye & The Art of Computer Animation, Animusic, RatBoyGenius, Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, MikuMikuDance (MMD) animations (2007–2008), SuperSmashBros 2001, MonkeyBall (2001), Rockafire Explosion.
